Falling

by Jessica Blake

/

about

"Falling" was written from the perspective of someone trying to help their loved one through depression. An instrumental version of this track was featured in the "Four Families, One War" documentary narrated by R.H. Thomson, presented at the TD Gallery in the Toronto Reference Library in 2015.

lyrics

This is not, not like you
This cold distant person in your place is not you
Now you're gone. Far away
Trying to hold you down, I'm begging you to stay

Chorus:
Falling, falling
I'm calling, calling

Deeper, deeper
Hills are steeper
Let me help you find your way
Lying, lying
Crying, crying
What can I do so you will stay
Don't push me away
I'm here to stay

Chorus:
Falling, falling
Crying, crying

Don't shut out the one you love
I'll stay no matter how you push and shove
My love for you is stronger than this disease
My love will put your mind at ease

Deeper, deeper
Hills are steeper
Let me help you find your way
Lying, lying
Crying, crying
What can I do so you will stay
Don't push me away
I'm here to stay

Chorus:
Falling, falling
Crying, crying
Answer now.....
